Celebrate Valentine’s season with something we love most — happy mail 💌

Cupid’s Crafty Mail is a Valentine junk journal exchange where you’ll be paired with one journal friend to swap a heartfelt letter or Valentine card, plus a small bundle of crafty, paper-based goodness.

This is a relaxed, joyful exchange focused on connection, creativity, and kindness.

 

How It Works:

• Sign up using the form (link provided)

• Tell us about your journalling style and favourite supplies

• You’ll be paired with one journal friend

• Create a Valentine letter or card just for them

• Add a few stickers, ephemera, or paper bits

• Post it off with love 💕

What to include:

• One handwritten letter/note or Valentine card

• A small selection of ephemera, stickers, or paper goodies

• Something that reflects your valentine's style and preferences

• Handmade and second-hand items are encouraged. Perfection is not required

The Guidelines:

• To keep postage affordable and fair for everyone, this exchange is standard letter size only.

• Australia Post standard letter requirements:

• Maximum size: 24 cm x 13 cm

• Maximum thickness: 5 mm

• Maximum weight: 50 g

• Estimated postage cost: $1.50–$2.40 AUD (depending on weight)

• Paper items only — no bulky or raised embellishments please.

Important Dates:

• Sign-ups close: 21st January

• Pairings sent: 23rd January (I will try to email your pairings as they come through to me! You will be matched at random!)

• Post by: 31st January - Please only join if you’re confident you can post by the deadline.

Commitment & Rules of Taking Part:

Please only join this exchange if you’re confident you can commit, we had too many people sign up to our last project but who didn't follow through.

By signing up, you agree to:

• Create and send your Valentine mail by the post-by date listed above

• Follow the size and postage guidelines so mail arrives safely and affordably

• Send something you’d genuinely enjoy receiving yourself

• Communicate as soon as possible if something unexpected comes up - message Abbe Bryant or email hello@junkjournalaustralia.com straight away so Abbe and the community can help.
